Electrical Installation in Spokane
Master Electrician Oversight for Your Home Electrical Installation
Adding an EV charger, generator, heat pump, battery, appliance, or new living space requires more than connecting equipment. The installation must account for your home’s existing panel, available capacity, wiring routes, utility connection, permits, and inspection requirements.
We provide residential electrical work in Spokane and throughout the Inland Northwest. Our experience with solar, storage, generators, EV charging, heating and cooling equipment, and other electrification projects allows us to plan each upgrade as part of one coordinated system.

- Additions and remodels: We provide complete wiring for new additions, plus circuits, outlets, and project wiring for remodeled spaces.

Built for Projects That Connect Multiple Systems
Co-owner Harlan Heise is a licensed Master Electrician and NABCEP PV Installation Professional. Our crews include journeyman electricians, lead electricians, and trained apprentices working under licensed supervision. Northwest Renewables also maintains active electrical contractor licenses in Washington and Idaho.
That background matters when a project combines multiple systems, such as a panel upgrade with EV charger wiring or solar interconnection with battery storage. We account for connected equipment during design instead of treating each component as an isolated addition. Our work is backed by warranty coverage of up to 25 years on parts and labor.

From Consultation to Final Inspection
Each project begins with a free consultation focused on your home’s current electrical setup and planned improvement. We review design options, explain the installation process, and gather the information needed to define the work.
The project generally moves through these stages:
- Initial assessment: We examine the existing service and panel, anticipated demand, equipment specifications, access conditions, and potential wiring routes.
- Design and scope: We develop the proposed installation and provide a project scope, timeline, cost overview, and available financing options.
- Permitting: We obtain the electrical permits required for the approved scope and coordinate applicable utility requirements.
- Installation: Our crews complete the wiring, circuits, equipment connections, and related panel work under licensed supervision.
- Final inspection: We arrange the required inspection once installation is complete.
Electrical Permits & Inspections in Spokane
Permit requirements depend on the project scope and jobsite jurisdiction. The City of Spokane requires electrical permits for service upgrades, new wiring, and changes to existing wiring, including adding or moving outlets and light fixtures.
For properties under state jurisdiction, the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries states that most electrical work requires a permit and inspection. A hired electrical contractor must purchase the permit for its work and obtain the necessary inspections. During project planning, we identify the applicable authority and handle permitting for our installation scope.
Inspection timing can affect the construction schedule. Wiring generally must remain accessible until required inspections are complete, so we coordinate our work with drywall, cabinetry, mechanical equipment, and other parts of a remodel or addition.
